About an hour away, Amanohashidate is one of Japan’s three most scenic views. A pine-covered sandbar stretching across the bay, it’s best viewed from the mountains on either side. Rent a bike, take a chairlift up the hillside, or simply enjoy a picnic on the beach. The nearby town also offers charming temples, cafés, and souvenir shops.
